Troup County boasts some of the finest recreational facilities in the area.
Athletics and Sports
Like most Southern towns, LaGrange and Troup County make sports, especially football, a high priority. Whether tailgating before a LaGrange College football game or cheering on little baseball players as they run in the wrong direction around the baseball diamond, we are enthusiastically devoted to our home teams.

Other Recreation
Troup County is a mecca for a wide-variety of recreational activities. Residents participate in everything from birding to mining and everything in-between.
Birding
The Southern Rivers Birding Trail winds through the West Point Dam area. Bird watchers from all over the nation flocked to West Point Dam during the winter of 2010 to catch an unheard of glimpse of an ivory gull. Don’t be surprised to spot an American Bald Eagle or an osprey overhead, searching for food, or hear the call of a loon.
